New Jersey's Long Beach Island: Long in Fun, Short on Time

If you are from New Jersey and surrounding areas, the Jersey Shore is one of the places to be when it comes to fun under the sun. Long Beach Island, also called "LBI", is an 18-mile long "barrier island" on the eastern part of New jersey. In photo is an early morning Long Beach Island shore scene (courtesy of JW).

LBI is home to several communities, including Barnegat Light, Beach Haven, Surf City, Harvey Cedars, Loveladies, and Ship Bottom, and of course to the historic Barnegat Lighthouse. When you spend your time at LBI, the hours do go by so fast that a return trip almost becomes inevitable!
